We did our best to give our kids names that are not too common and not too weird. We thought we'd done OK with Ruby and Max. Good solid everyday names but maybe not as everyday as Kathryn and Mark. :)
But in the last few weeks, Christina Aguilera (is that how you spell it?) and Jennifer Lopez have both named their new baby boys: Max. Oh dear. I reckon there'll be more Max's than Jack's and Lachlan's before the year is out. Sorry Maxie. We did try.

I know exactly how you feel Kath. we thought the same thing with our Max. Would you believe the ONLY name to be doubled up in either group at Kinder is Max. So my Maxie is now known as Max L. I hate it.
I saw that today and was really surprised that J.Lo chose Max. It is such a great name.
Matt wanted Tex for this baby and as much as I do like it I've canned it.
Your boy is the one I think of though whenever I think/hear of Max. He's the man. :)
hey Jo - I like Tex :) And it's Ruth's cast off name, but I'm liking Ezra these days too. I've met a little boy called Ezra and he's divine. And I still love Mungo, of course. Feel free to call baby boy Bevo "Mungo". Good solid name.
I love Ezra too. We have a name ready to go (well, it's going to be a humdinger FOUR names all together and they're all long! :O so be prepared!).
What do you mean Ruth's cast off name? I'm intrigued!
hey Jo - 4 names is good. Both my kids have 4 names. It's a good compromise I reckon. Ezra was Ruth's boy name of choice. But if she ever has a boy I'd be surprised if she chose it with Esta being so similar. Although it would be very cute.

It was the same with William..I thought that wasn't overly used..but nah..Will's everywhere now.
